Zinc – The basic mineral

 
Did you know that masculinity and prostate health are directly dependent on zinc? Zinc is required for the production of the male hormone testosterone, for sperm health, and for maintaining a high libido. With each ejaculate, the male loses an estimate of CA 3-5 mg of zinc. It is a valuable mineral that is contained in semen, with direct support for sperm moving.
 
 
But not only men should be worried about their zinc status!  The body’s good zinc level is exactly as important for women as well.

Zinc is a necessary basic mineral for the production of progesterone (the so-called ‘ pregnancy hormone ‘), for the relief of estrogen dominations and for the production of anxiety-depressants (e.g. serotonin, GABA). It is important to know that long-term stress, sweating and drinking alcohol will reduce the absorption of zinc in the body. It is also worth remembering that a stressful life often leads to the uptake of gastric lobe and poor ability of alkaline minerals (including zinc, magnesium, calcium, etc.).
 
 
An adequate amount of zinc provides us with a normal taste and smell sensitivity, nutrient absorption, and a reduction in inflammations. Zinc contributes to wound healing and immune system balancing.  Thus, for example, the P53 capacity of a gene that suppresses the cancer cells, or tumour suppressant, is dependent on a sufficient quantity of zinc in the body. Low levels of zinc often become a problem in the case of malicious viral infections (e.g. Epstein-Barri virus) and bacterial infection (e.g., borreliosis).
 
 
Zinc is a trace of the mineral that is important for more than 100 enzymes, so if zinc levels move low, then the body’s metabolism, nutrient intake, as well as the work of organs, are impaired. For example, in the case of type II diabetes, there is often a shortage of B vitamins and magnesium, but in fact, zinc is the one in which the production and secreting of insulin occurs.
 
 
Seafood, including fish, shrimps, lobster and algae, contain well-absorbed zinc in the best form, so there is no big surprise that frequent eating of fish is associated with high masculine capabilities.  A separate mention also deserve organic, single-cell algae chlorella and spirulina, which contain a good amount of zinc.
 
 
Zinc is also provided by pumpkin and black sesame seeds and peanuts. However, peanuts which are not unsalted and unroasted must be preferred, as a large quantity of table salt will, in turn, make a disservice to health.
 
 
Zinc is also found in organic cocoa and dark chocolate, unfortunately, these foods are rich in oxalic acids, which greatly reduces the bioavailability of zinc. To the delight of non-vegetarian people, it should be noted that red meat, in particular, is also rich in zinc sources.
