It sounds like a dream, but it’s scientifically proven: Dark chocolate can improve your athletic performance! The secret is due to a special type of flavonoids in cocoa beans that increase the production of nitric oxide in the body. Nitrogen oxide is known to stimulate blood flow and increase endurance and strength.

Tip: Store your dark super snack in an airtight wrap in a dark and dry place. In the summertime (and if you heat with a fireplace/stove) a cooler alternative is a good idea or you can store in a refrigerator.
